Lokivetmab is a caninized monoclonal antibody that specifically targets and neutralizes canine interleukin-31 (IL-31). IL-31 is a key pruritogenic cytokine found at elevated levels in dogs with atopic dermatitis. By binding IL-31, lokivetmab prevents its interaction with the IL-31RA/OSMRβ receptor complex on sensory neurons, blocking itch signaling.
