Competitively prevents the binding of androgens to their prostatic receptors and blocks the transport of testosterone into the prostate.
Treatment of benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) in male dogs. In dogs with BPH associated with prostatitis, osaterone can be administered concurrently with antimicrobials. Use with caution in dogs with a history of liver disease.
