Cats may present with subtle clinical signs; behavioral changes (hiding, decreased interaction, altered grooming) often indicate illness. Stress-related conditions (FLUTD, feline hyperesthesia, psychogenic alopecia) are common. Geriatric cats should be screened annually for CKD, hyperthyroidism, and hypertension.
