由Spirocerca lupi線蟲經甲蟲中間宿主傳播的食道寄生蟲病,主要見於熱帶及亞熱帶。成蟲寄生於食道壁形成結節,可能惡性轉化為骨肉瘤。
Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) is caused by mutated feline enteric coronavirus. Effusive (wet) and non-effusive (dry) forms occur. GS-441524 (and related antiviral nucleoside analogues) have shown remarkable efficacy. FeLV and FIV testing (SNAP combo) is recommended for all cats.

期間：感染控制後恢復
預後取決於併發症。單純食道結節經驅蟲治療預後尚可,但完全治癒困難,結節可能永久存在。主動脈瘤破裂致死率100%。骨肉瘤轉化預後極差,中位生存期<3個月。肥厚性骨病在驅蟲後數月可能改善。
