Gonadotropin is also referred to as human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). Action of hCG is identical to that of luteinizing hormone (LH).
Gonadotropin is used to induce luteinization in animals. Gonadotropin has been used to manage various reproductive disorders where stimulation of ovulation is desired. Instructions for Use When used in horses, most ovulate 32-40 hours after treatment. Formulations HCG is available in 5000-, 10,000-, and 20,000-unit injections. Stability and Storage Store in a tightly sealed container, protected from light, and at room temperature. Large Animal Dosage Horses • Ovulation induction: 2500 to 5000 unit
