兔外耳道或中/內耳的炎症與感染，垂耳兔（Lop breeds）因耳道狹窄且通風不良特別好發。Pasteurella multocida 為最常見的中/內耳炎致病菌，嚴重者可併發前庭症狀。
Psoroptes cuniculi (rabbit ear mite) causes otitis externa with characteristic thick, crusty exudate. Treatment includes ivermectin or selamectin. Middle ear infection (otitis media) from Pasteurella multocida causes head tilt and may extend to meninges. Lop-eared breeds are predisposed to ear canal stenosis and chronic otitis.
