Bulk-forming agent that increases faecal mass and stimulates peristalsis.
Management of impacted anal sacs, diarrhoea and constipation, and the control of stool consistency after surgery. Sterculia is inert and not absorbed. During treatment, fluid should be provided or a moist diet given. As the preparations swell in contact with water, they should be administered with plenty of water available.
