Highly specific, reversible carbonic anhydrase II (CA-II) inhibitor. Reduces aqueous humor formation, lowering IOP. pH 7.5 (near physiologic) - better tolerated than dorzolamide (pH 5.6). Plasma levels ~100x less than systemic CAIs.
Glaucoma (primary and secondary) in dogs and cats. IOP reduction as monotherapy or adjunct with timolol
