FFP contains all coagulation factors, albumin, immunoglobulins, and other plasma proteins. Provides replacement of coagulation factors for bleeding disorders, von Willebrand factor, and antithrombin III. Must be stored at ≤-18°C and used within 1 year for full coagulation factor activity.
Coagulopathy (rodenticide toxicity, DIC, liver failure), hypoalbuminemia, passive immunoglobulin transfer, factor deficiencies.
