A topical non-selective beta-blocker that decreases aqueous humour production via beta-adrenoreceptor blockade in the ciliary body. See also Brinzolamide, Dorzolamide.
Management of canine and feline glaucoma. It can be used alone or in combination with other topical glaucoma drugs, such as a topical carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. Dorzolamide/timolol or brinzolamide/ timolol can be used in the control of most types of glaucoma in dogs; dorzolamide/timolol can be used in cats. The combination may be more effective than either drug alone. The combination causes miosis and is therefore not the drug of choice in uveitis or anterior lens luxation. Although no specif
